Thanks for stopping by! Formerly/informally known as “The Kim Sisters” in our youth, we are thrilled to announce our official ensemble name: Dal Duo. Quarantine has reminded us of how lucky we are to have each other as sisters, friends, and collaborative partners, but more importantly we’ve been reminded of the undeniable power of music to bring people together. Bound by blood and united by our ambitions to bring the classical music world into the 21st century, we are excited to explore all the ways music can empower, nurture, and challenge listeners. "Prenderò quel brunettino" from Cosà fan tutte
Enjoy this silly video we made for Galentine's day, a day to celebrate all the gals and pals that make life a little sweeter. The title of the aria translates to "I like the brunette", and in the aria 2 sisters discuss how they will have fun cheating on their fiancés (which of course we would never do!) Like many operas, Cosà fan tutte fails the Bechdel test miserably but we absolutely adore the music, and it was both of our first opera pit experiences!
